Combining the experience of six generations with professional training, our family-run clinic provides acupuncture treatment for a wide range of conditions.
History
Our practice was established in Merewether in 1973 by Godfrey Fong and after successfully treating the people of Newcastle for many years, has now been passed down to son, Raoul.
Along with the principles of traditional acupuncture treatment, he has also completed extensive studies into Chinese dietary therapies, cupping, ear acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moxibustion and fertility.

Fong Acupuncture is a registered member of AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency – Chinese Medicine Board of Australia), AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association) and is accredited with all private health funds.

Raoul
Raoul has completed an Advanced Diploma of Health Science majoring in Acupuncture in 2005 at the Acupuncture College of Natural Medicine in QLD.
He has been trained to marry Eastern and Western medical sciences to give a holistic, results-based treatment for any pain or discomfort throughout the body.
Raoul is fully accredited with registered membership of AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency – Chinese Medicine Board of Australia), AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association) and is accredited with all private health funds.

Simone
Simone, Raoul’s sister has worked at the Acupuncture Clinic for over 30 years in the Admin department. She is the smiling face that greets you at the door, and the welcoming phone on the phone. Growing up in the Fong family, and working in the clinic for so many years, Simone has gleaned significant knowledge and expertise in the assistance of the practice of acupuncture.
